Eyre Peninsula has a drought resilience plan in place to guide future effort and investment.

Drought is not new to the Eyre Peninsula, nor is variability and changing patterns of rainfall. People on the Eyre Peninsula have a long history of adapting to these dry conditions and have been leaders and innovators in developing enhanced and new ways to ensure the continued viability and sustainability of their farms, communities, landscapes and economy.

The Eyre Peninsula Regional Drought Resilience Plan is now completed. You can view the Plan here

This variability and changing weather patterns, including future droughts, is projected to continue, and therefore maintaining and building the Eyre Peninsula’s drought resilience is critical.

That’s why we have planned for the dry by preparing the Eyre Peninsula Regional Drought Resilience Plan.

This program is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Government of South Australia.
